I’m hoping the second book is that last in this series

There’s been so many editing errors it’s getting annoying.

The concept and story is interesting enough, but I feel like everything is walking a fine line between readable and shit.

So far, it’s been a flat three stars. Lots of things could’ve been better since this story has so much potential.

Oh I think I recall more details
Something about bed pods that have a shield/flip over in an emergency?? their ship being attacked by pirates or other snake aliens, then the fmc saving all their asses when they all start freezing.

Yeah I’m pretty sure I totally glossed over a bunch of details the first time around. I don’t recall reading the description of this alien cutie being so familiar. As in, sandy texture “skin”, lemon yellow coloring, round spring green eyes, vertical eyes… what comes to mind are those snake like aliens from Star Trek enterprise. The sneaky terrorist ones(?)

So I can kind of easily imagine This one.

I was also right in my first round of reading and notes,
I’ve been skim reading a lot bc most of it is boring as shit to read. Even worse bc I’m rereading.

So now that she’s in a new cage, in this treasure room, I vaguely recall what all happens next..

But barely.

Also can’t recall if I noticed the first time around, but there’s been a few editing errors, words I could guess what they were supposed to be, but whatever idiot got hired to check-missed it.

Finally

Honestly, this book is better than the last two handful of books I had the misfortune of reading.

Likely due to the fact that it actually got better towards the end. And mainly due to the “action”. And climax(?) of the fmc literally saving all their asses. That alone deserves three stars at least.
Hopefully the next book is the last book. I’m not eager to wait on a series with endless cliffhangers.

70% is boring, repetitive and tedious info I couldn’t care less about
The 30% left is barely manageable

Still a bunch of pet peeves aplenty though

I don’t need that kind of stress in my life.
