The characters are really well thought out: backstories, thought process, mannerisms. Story setting feels non-fictional. Bravo. There's a glimpse of what the story could be at the beginning, but, at this point, the world-building is still ongoing. On with the story...

Smile, smirk, curve, open, tense, grin...are but a few mouth descriptions each character has shown, along with somewhat theatrical movements. A flair for the whimsy, the writing carries. Hooked, so far. On with the story...

I think we, who try to write, tend to gravitate towards others with a similar writing style. Liberally using descriptive gestures, using verbs on inanimate objects, a certain rhythm, a cadence that's musical, the all-too-natural dialogues, the flamboyant way of depicting the setting. And so I am gravitating. On with the story...
