I just finished Savage Holiday: A Novel of Sudden Violence and gave it 3 stars.Richard Wright's psychological thriller was an intense read. The reader is given a lens into the protagonist, Erskine Fowler's mind. He analysis every move that he makes and that of his love interest. The novel takes us on a two day bumpy ride as Erskine unfolds mentally after he is forced to retire from his job.
