19-They break off from the Order (good, Ugo sucks troll toes), and Milo takes them to another secret base. AND THEN THERE'S AN ALIEN INVASION??? They drained the planet's life force and it's grown weak.

It's the end of the world, as we know it.

18-They reach the area they needed to, the AI downloaded the info he needed, and they faced off with Hunt and Mio's dad. Hunt was overtaken by his ability and almost killed his friends, but Lily healed him. He snapped out of it and they plan their escape. They argue over who will set the fuse for the bomb, but the AI ultimately does it, and gets out nearly unscathed.

17 (pt 2) This chapter is the LONGEST. Lily tries to talk to Milo, who doesn't want to talk, and then he disappears overnight. Hunt and Lily have a little spat but get over it, and they enter the spider place. Milo reappears. They have their first spider encounter and Lily's hand gets broken. They get to a door and are attacked by a wave of spiders. They want Hunt? Not sure why. Lily is injured but she's fine.

17 They found the temple and spend the night, while Gromyko goes exploring. The spirit they'd met at the shrine leads him around until the others wake. They travel into the tunnels and we learn some more about alien history, and soul-sucking spiders blocking where they'll eventually go. Also, the spirit doesn't like the darkness in Hunt or Lily. Milo starts drama by kissing Lily. Hunt and Lily have a sweet moment.

16 - The visitor is a ghost. He likes Gromyko and talks to him alone. There isn't much spoken about between them since the smuggler loves himself too much, and the AI is jealous of him. They go through some more history facts about the aliens and talk about developing Lily's healing talent before leaving for another destination.

15 - The aliens grew more advanced and played around with mind control for wellness reasons. They created the building the prison is in.

The group heads out with Milo, who keeps checking the device. When confronted, it's a gov issued device that stores locations. The tracker inside has been removed.

They stop at the temple I believe they were heading to, and hunker down. Hunt wakes; apparently there's a visitor.

Ch 14 - Whelp problem's dead. Things get wrapped up so quickly once the issue is presented.

Anyway, Lily has healing powers and brought Hunt back from the brink of mindlessness, and while she recovered, he recounted things with the AI & about how to go about mind control. They head to Ugo's, but they're compromised, so they're staying at Hunt's bro's. Hunt refuses to take Lily home. He's an enemy of the Order now.

Ch 13 - They stole the bombs, but in the scuffle, Hunt released too much of his ability and fell into a two-day sleep. When he finally wakes up, he learns Lily has begun suffering from panic attacks and stuff, and Gromyko suggests someone else has an ability to mess with her mind to get rid of her. And they were right. The person with the mind powers has until dawn to break Lily or she's dead. Fun stuff.

Chapter 12 - Someone's outside Lily's window; they think it's Milo. Lavery, the guy with the eyepatch, conspires with Prisk about getting rid of Joris and Lily (the back and forth of first and last names confuses me) because they'll uncover what the gov is really up to: mind control experiments. Also Lavery has a gift. And he was outside her window. And Hunt goes along with something Gromyko cooked up to steal bombs.

Ahhhhhh NOW I'm invested. Took half the book and a lot of exposition, but I'm finally invested.
