Junayd al-Baghdadi defined the Sufi path as follows: “Allah kills you within you and revives you within Himself. This is tasawwuf.

"Die! In other words, free yourself from attachment to your mundane desires before the moment of your physical death arrives. Know how to die through the application of your will, through the curbing of your desires.

The way the sacrifice of Ibrahim a.s., the feelings of Yaqoob a.s. and the interactions of Sahaba with the Prophet p.b.u.h. are rendered with a Sufi touch is new for me. It's almost like refurbishing the original narrative with Sufi touches which seem almost like adding your own interpretation of what was felt by the characters involved.

The words khalq (creation) and khulq (morality) are derived from the same root. One is about the external world and the other is about the internal world.

The Messenger of Allah said: “Whosoever expands his knowledge without a parallel increase in his piety will only have grown in his separation from Allah.”

Open your eyes and read the Qur’an, the Book of Allah, more carefully. You will realize that its verses are all about good etiquette.

....and this world, in all its states, is as a
classroom for learning faith and it is filled with tests for
achieving proficiency in this aim.

Those who have pure hearts are freed from colors and smells.
They easily see a beauty in every breath.
