1. Stylistically - I am well aware of the utility of heading in academic writing when bold assertion of absolute fact would be arrogant at best, but this book sometimes feels like a college paper trying to reach word count.

2. A book so focused on debating the merits of and exploring alternatives to established common knowledge and/or philosophers would hit more if I had any prior knowledge baseline beforehand.
