The second book about Tarawa and the Pacific War I’m reading as an act of remembrance. When a buddy asked me to write a trilogy with him several years ago I had no idea how hard-hitting and difficult the research would be. Nor did I ever dream the books in the trilogy would win so many awards. Tonight we found out the entire series is a finalist for an international award. So I’m reading to honor the journey.
