the first story was AMAZING. it starts in the perspective of a rabbi who leads an orthodox school for girls, then switches to the perspective of a student of his. without spoilers, the dissonance between the perspectives (& mine as a reader) was SO juicy.

these stories keep pulling no punches. none of them have been comfortable, but there's a lot to enjoy about the writing style. themes are generally dark and it's worth approaching this collection mindfully.
