Mel I just saw this podcast episode mentioned in relation to this book, in case it's of interest...oops can't post links. Podcast is Criminal, episode The Dial Painters.

Cherrie Thanks for letting me know! I'd seen the other radium girls book by Kate Moore, and had debated which one to read first. I think that one might've been a better first read for me on the subject. This one was very informative but decidedly dry and very academic (but I don't know what I expected seeing as it started as a dissertation paper, so that's on me ha)

Mel Ooops, sorry...my mistake. I saw Radium Girls and thought it was the same book.
