I am in love with this novel but then I am of an age for Chile and the nightmare brought upon by the coup against Allende to have been a powerful reality of my 1970's adolescence. What was destroyed wasn't perfect but it was far more beautiful then the nightmare of Pinochet - and what did he leave behind?

A wonderful, poetic, beautiful novel.
