There's a bit of a problem with this biography. Even though it's well written it can be kinda superficial about some stuff. It focuses too much on Duarte and Duarte only but what about his wife and kids? What about the events happening in the kingdom? Example: he writes two paragraphs about the discoveries just to tell us that someone said we didn't cross the Bojador at the time. But he doesn't even explain why.

Agora também quero aprender sobre os infantes de Aragão e está-me a dar vontade de ler a biografia das Tristes Rainhas, à custa disto. Tanto trabalho para um casamento. E a descrição da depressão do D. Duarte... Tadinho ;_; Gosto dele!

He even makes explanations about laws (and all that stuff I usually find boring) didactic! This is how you write a biography that's supposed to serve both a more academic public and a more general public. Otherwise you will bore everyone to death.

I'M FINALLY READING THIS ONE! Been meaning to read it for ages but I was never motivated. But my friend and going thourgh it again and again finally convinced me of it. The author writes really well, he's funny and ironic and super empathetic to Duarte and his brothers. So I've ended up reading Duarte before Henrique... good one because I like Duarte better anyway xD
