understanding that Etel Adnan was a philosopher makes her entire body of work finally make sense to me,, also i am desperate to learn more about Laila ‘Allush: like quite frankly “Arab-Israeli” could mean anything (but I think it means she’s a Palestinian Jew) either way her poem slayed “Everything is Arab despite the change of tongue…All the poplars and my ancestor’s solemn orchards”
