I picked this up as I had been hoping to finish another series I started years ago but honestly I doubt I'll continue with this series.
The characters are immature and boring. There's not a lot of substance to them - you can't make someone more fleshed out by giving them a horrific trauma story, a cliche I have forgotten about the Urban Fantasy genre.
World building is also bleh.
