Oscar Wilde’s portrayal of human nature in this book is absolutely remarkable. I love the way in which the book clearly shows the change that Lord Henry provoked in Dorian, and how much it affected him afterwards. The foreshadowing is so well done, especially in Dorian’s conversation with Lord Henry in which he admits that if he were to commit a crime, he would tell him (which he does). Basil deserves better T^T.
