Definitely some hard to swallow parts, curious where it's headed but Lovell seems really evil and I like the foreshadowing going on. I want to keep reading even though it's already sad.

Middle was a bit boring, I felt like it was repetitive and driving home a point too much. I get it, imperialism sucks. Just hit part 3. Foreshadowing tells me something goes wrong, so I'm sticking around. I think the book could be shortened, too much time spent on daily life.
