Not a fan of the narration. Too much “telling” and not showing. Not a huge fan of the main character. It’s hard to root for her when she is constantly cowed by her family, but is rude AF to everyone else. Girl save some of that attitude for your mama!

And the way she talks about her coworkers and the way they dress! Like girl, you are a freaking mean girl and you’re so arrogant. I LOVE a confident, plus size FMC, but she is just plain cocky. How are you going to be cocky like that and then let your family treat you like ish? Like don’t you love yourself or nah, cause it seems like you’re trying to overcompensate or fake the self love you claim to have!
