In the early chapters this draws in the reader with transporting imagery of the Icelandic landscape. Soon the mystery takes shape, with tangents and puzzling elements of in 2 timeframes, decades apart. As the story culminates, all the puzzle pieces click… in an unexpected way. Excellent story-craft! I give it a 4.5 because it keeps getting better and better as it progresses.
