I am happy the pace seems to have slowed down. There were certainly moments I enjoyed in the first quarter but for me Hobb’s prose shines brightest when at a slower pace. I would happily read a 1000 page book about Fitz just doing errands at Buckkeep and the stables, as long as it was written by Hobb. Good stuff.
