mildly annoyed at several pages devoted to cotton and the slave trade in America, vs far fewer devoted to the silkworm and surrounding spheres of influence in China.
Not saying I wanted less devoted to cotton (traced back to a SINGLE genus that existed in Africa well before people — neat! the conversation on how cotton fueled the American slave trade — important!) but rather more time devoted to the silkworm.
