It's a good book for you only in 2 conditions
Either you have atleast studied a decent proficiency in all the topics this book discussed and hence you could enjoy the history part of book and moreover the origin of simple things from where they came
Or you are not concerned with mathematics and your only want a glance or just an overview of topics
The book is also biased, but it's an old print so it's okay
