Okay I'm just gonna say it.
Jane Austen is not my thing.
I get that she's telling a story on gradual maturity and raising important critiques on society or whatevah but yada yada. Emma's an adult, yet she's more ignorant and immature on the subject of romance than I am, and that's saying something.
