The story says Nath had a comforter over his legs. In the illustration it's hanging on the back of the chair.

So he goes straight to bed. Doesn't even check on his family. It appears over 24hrs have passed and his parents hadn't sent search parties or even worried much that he hadn't returned from hiking and fishing, or that probably his fishing gear would still be in the house. I get this is a fantasy book but the real parts should at least be real!

Over 50 pages to a fight. To be honest I'm bored. It's not exciting. It's not thrilling. It's disjointed and a bit skittish. Suddenly there are ten odd new characters that you've not got to know all fighting and you have no idea who they are or their role. It's just anarchy.

The horse riding a horse with mini elves is a really cool idea. I wish there was an illustration for it.

Wait. I thought Nath was convinced the Lady of the Waterfall was just a dream? Here, he talks about her as fact. No illustration of the map. Of all the pics the author decided not to include, why the map?

My pet hate are spelling and grammatical mistakes. I've found another. The formatting and mistakes are letting down a great story though I wish it was more original and less drawn from classic texts.

Nathaniel has only just decided after all these trips that time moves differently? I thought he drew that conclusion long ago? I can't remember how old he is, but I'm certain he's too young for any parent to let him go hiking alone. His parents are a bit warped in discipline too.

Ok. So the words run way too close to the spine and I thought maybe just me but no other books run that far into the spine. The story is good. The formatting is letting it down.

The two brothers remind me of the ones in Alice in Wonderland. It's cool the way he's travelled like that through the picture.

The age I thought this was for, is in actual fact not. The word crapping was used. Dead bloody shredded bodies are in there too. I'm confused. It's like it was for young but now I feel 16+ at least. The double spacing for lines is irritating. Also the words cut off so close to the spine of the book you have to force it open to read it all which ends in hand ache.
