Im listening to the audiobook and for all the times I’ve read this it still baffles me how much Billy’s recollection of events still differs from Daisy and the bad - he was the only sober one (obviously doesn’t mean he’ll remember everything) but I’m still surprised how things differ sometimes- obviously the truth lies in the middle
