Morgan describes Phaedra as a brilliant mind in skirts and a savage, ferocious creature. Phaedra is confident in her own skin, sure of herself, and has a strong sense of who she is but laments the fact that no one appreciates her talents or perspective. The greatest compliment paid her (by her father) is that she would have made a much better Duke of Averell then her older brother Tony.

Phaedra (jokingly) refers to Morgan as her murderous suitor which isn’t far from the truth (although she doesn’t know it at first). Morgan is unapologetically ruthless and brutal given his past, but he is also gentle, kind, and affectionate. He would do anything for Phaedra.

Readers have caught glimpses of Phaedra since the very first Barringtons book. It took me quite a while to craft a hero that is worthy of her. I fell in love with Morgan right along with Phaedra and I think readers will too.
