i don't know how much more i can make it of this book. anyone who read alot of fanfiction back during tumblr's peak could see this would be a mediocre fic at best. i'm fully convinced that anyone who likes this book never experienced a 2013 tumblr teen's harry potter with dragons self-insert fanfiction before. also there's no spark between violet and xaiden, he's just hot. that's not romantic tension.

how did violet go from hating the concept of being a dragon rider and longing to be a scribe to suddenly saying that she wants to see if she can become a dragon rider when given the opportunity to be a scribe, but a few pages earlier wished she could live the simple life of a scribe? 'i couldn't live with myself if i backed out now' like where did this drive come from suddenly?

i keep getting ads for this damn book so i figured i'll see what all the hype is about. i am not immune to propaganda.
