I’m nostalgic about leaving responsibility and hiking without a schedule. I was irritated at the protagonist for shaving in the lake. I expect people to know that cleaning directly in water sources is more polluting than rinsing/washing over the ground, 100 feet away. It requires transporting the water…a chore, but soil layers will filter water before it rejoins the pure underground supply.
