This was a great - maybe a tad bit “mature” for my son who is only eight - not because of language or content but more about dating and realizing feelings for a friend might be more than friendly. Again, nothing impropriate, I think that just hits above my son’s weight class right now, lol! The potato theme was hilarious and there was lots of relatable content that was good for discussions.

This was not an accidental find - after reading another one of Arianne Costner’s books with my son and seeing this one pictured on the back flap, it just called to me. During a very fun camping trip with friends, I was dubbed “a potato” so yeah, “My Life As a Potato” instantly grabbed me!
