Whitney Hollis I want to hear your thoughts on this one please! Also, if you enjoy historical fiction — Four Treasures in the Sky. One of the most beautiful books I’ve read.

Brittany Parkman I REALLY liked it. This is my 2nd historical fiction, and I took so much from each of them. What I know of history, I learned in public school, and it was always boring to me, sadly. It always seemed like a story. I knew it happened, but it almost didn't seem real to me. Kind of sad to admit. I feel that reading historical fiction books makes the personal and devastating experiences come to life in my mind. It's definitely a genre I wish to pursue more.

Whitney Hollis I feel the same way about historical fiction. It has become a genre I really love and admire. Four Treasures of the Sky was my introduction and it’s such a beautiful, heartbreaking story. I had never known about the Chinese Exclusion Act, but this book taught me so much about it and even kickstarted my own research on the act because I felt like I needed to know more.

Brittany Parkman I'll be reading that book! Thank you for the recommendation!
