Night Call, Collect - 4.0 stars - This was great, an interesting idea.
The Haunting of the New - 3.0 stars - I didn't enjoy this one. Too overwrought and a bit anticlimactic.

Having a hard time getting through this one “Downwind from Gettysburg. I’m not loving it and I keep falling asleep. Maybe I should just skip it?

Finally finished “Tomorrow’s Child,” which I wasn’t too keen on, and “The Women” another one that raised my hackles a bit. How about this paragraph: “It in no way resembled man or woman. But it had a woman’s ways, the silken, sly, and hidden ways. It moved with a woman’s grace. It was all the evil things of vain women.”
Beautiful writing, but not my favorite message. Two women fighting for a man.

The second story is of a group of working class men almost caught in the act of burning down the local Lord’s home. The Lord reacts in a very unusual way.

The first story was a weird story about giving Hemingway a proper, fitting grave. A time travel story.

My husband gave this to me for my 50th birthday today. It’s a signed first edition. I love it and can’t wait to get started!
