On the eye for an eye thing - cool that the Talmud doesn’t interpret it literally but also that’s secondary to the Torah, the Torah is the actual text of the law and anything else is secondary and also importantly, just human interpretation. So…idk I guess I should poke more at that. Might be using my legal framework on text too much
