It's confusing because the story jumps from character to character through each chapter abruptly. There are sooooo many words describing the setting, so it's very atmospheric, but at the same time, that also makes it hard to keep up with the story. It's like information overload to me, but at least it's gorgeous prose.

I'm confused, very. The character of focus changed? And the language read setting is unfamiliar, what year is it? 1950s? I don't know. I do love the filling words. The prose is beautiful and impressive.
