So far it's textbook Cronenberg -- beautiful, intelligent women, retro-futuristic medical technology (with a hint of sadism, à la Dead Ringers), cancer, Brian O'Blivion-esqe consumer philosophy, new sexual organs (Cronenberg's evergreen obsession), violence and cannibalism with plenty of sex thrown in. Can't wait to see when it gets weird.
