The book is off to a great start! There are transitions between the scenes, much like in a movie, which makes it easier to read. Although the "iconic" main characters are nowhere to be found, Mon Motha, General Akbar and Wedge Antillies have all made appearances.

The factions within the Empire are interesting to learn about. They are still plenty strong, but have a lot to figure out.
