"Don't let go too soon, but don't hang on too long"

Takes away everything he has, his house, his money, his family . .

"His health"

"To test his faith"

What do you think about that?

"I think," he says, smiling, "God overdid it."

Either they're too selfish to take part in a real loving relationship, or they rush into marriage

"When you're in bed, you're dead"

He smiled. Only Morrie could smile at something like that.

But envy comes to me, I feel it, and then I let it go. Remember what I said about detachment? Let it go. Tell yourself 'That's envy, I'm going to separate from it now.' And walk away.

Because if you've found meaning in your life, you don't want to go back. You want to go forward. You want to see more, do more.

"Detachment doesn't mean you don't let the experience penetrate you. On the contrary, you let it penetrate you fully. That's how you are able to leave it."

"Morrie," Koppel said, "that was seventy years ago your mother died. The pain still goes on?"
