How did it all go so wrong, A? YOU LET IT. You let Finn walk out the door because you were willing to put "don't make a scene" as a higher priority than her. That's it. That's what just happened. GAH.

Almost done. Y'know, the more romance I read, the more I'm finding myself less inclined to enjoy third act breakups between the two main characters. I prefer external crisis moments; things they can't see a way around, like career locations or the like. When it comes down to "neither person can communicate clearly to the other" I get frustrated.

Husband is working in the office today, so every dogwalk is nudging this story forward. I'm enjoying it—and the glimpses reminding me of Rey's cuffing-themed romance.

After listening to an audiobook written by a non-queer author where there was one (1) queer character, I'm a couple of chapters in and there are so many lesbians and bisexual women I'm exhaling in utter relief.

Maybe it was a good idea to step outside my queer bubble if only to remind myself how nice it is *in* the bubble.

Also, I already adore Finn. So very Aurora Rey Butch—competent, not domineering, capable...
