reading the screen play now... and it's exactly like the movie... there wasn't as much dialog in the movie that the interchange should be painful... but who know.

So the movie was crazy stupid and not funny when considering the content but funny strange. So many truly weird decisions made in advance lead US to a base command triggering Global Thermonuclear War with Russia... and as it turns out that would/will trigger a Doomsday device they have to destroy all animal life on Earth.... seems like plans of sane men, right? lets hope it really doesn't work like this...

I'm watching Kubrick's movie now and I'll read the this screenplay after to see if that even makes any sense... I've read screen play before and there's always way to many conversations going back and forth... novels have this too when they have their characters speaking but (usually) have much more setting and introspection and descriptive narrative... Now I see there is a lot of visual in this movie without dialog.
