Somehow I thought this would be better written than it is. The author's obvious point of view and judgemental comments really rob my enjoyment of an interesting subject. As a lower Hudson Valley resident, I make a point of reading all I can about the history and former residents of the Valley. Editorializing should have no place in nonfiction.
