Whelp, I forgot to update this last night. Alas! I don’t think I’ll feel compelled to read this beyond Volume 1, but I am liking how Asakura’s introducing the characters and Obata’s art is very expressive (from Hikaru no Go)!
Also, it’s weird thinking these leads were born in ‘06 as U’ve recently realized that’s the year I got into pop culture.

Not getting more insight into Taiyo’s past as a child actor is my personal disappointment from this volume. Part of me wonders how that impacts his comedy, but that’ll be a later development I’m not sticking around for.
