The author is so annoyingly biased again in the Battle of Bud Dajo chapter, calling the Moros as savages and disregard with one's life with the use of their kris sword.

It's a shame I'm not reading my most favorite Moro-Muslim sword Panabas which can be an equivalent to the Japanese Katana or the Burmese Dao sword. I only read mostly Kris, next is Kampilan and the least is the Barong which the latter is what most FMA practitioners consider as much as the Ginunting these days.

I'm sure if the Moros used bows and arrows in the jungles of Mindanao instead of only charging with their krises, they will win against the krags and revolvers of the Americans.

Juramentados' 'Allahu Akbar' (Allah is the only God) outcry can be equivalent to Ishinshishi's 'Tenchu' (Heaven's Revenge) outcry.

It's nice to read when nature (the jungle) is working in favor with your blades for guerilla warfare. The paragraph where an American soldier was having nightmare that he's being stabbed by a Moro was funny.

It's always "an American military's excuse" to say that if they don't do this: if they didn't massacre the Moros, if they didn't drop the atomic bomb in Japan, that greater lives will be lost. It's always on their comfortability and benefits.

Look who's talking? You fucking Americans who don't have any rights in those lands and forcing yourselves with your high weaponries. And now you're saying you're MORE civilized than the Moros?

The screaming of the juramentado Moros was successful in disheartening the American soldiers even if they had superior firepower than their kris swords. Now I understand why shouting in martial art is so important. It will not only give the offenser a greater force but also has a great negative impact with the defender.
