Reads a lot easier than I thought. Strong analysis from Michels. I just wish Seymour Lipset hadn’t removed the huge amount of references for the book. What a foolish thing to do! I only found this out because Russell Jacoby mentioned it in a completely unrelated book, as he’d read the original German. Shoddy editing job, and dishonest not to mention it…
