First book was great! It seems the ending of this series could have been with this book. The breaking bond between Roque and Darrow to me felt exaggerated in order to justify a third book. I was additionally unimpressed with Mustangs not so loving response to the reveal of Darrow's true heritage. The ending just hurt the flow of the series for me. I don't think I'll be delving into the last novel of this trilogy.
