We started reading this together at staff worship. The paragraph-break formatting and sometimes the stylistic choices of the author irritate me, but I’m trying to welcome the constructive criticism. I can’t help feeling a little defeatist when he describes rabbis as picking the best of the best only, which I can (foolishly, no doubt) take to mean how do I ever have a chance? But I wonder if he’ll address that.
