I don't know how to feel about it just yet.
It is written by an American (not a necessarily bad thing) and it shows.
It is supposed to be sad and I'm still waiting for the sad parts to start happening.
I also hate the fact that Americans over romanticise huge age gaps. Like she was 24 (?) and he was 45(?) when they met. He was almost TWICE her age.
That is just weird. I don't want to DNF a book but I don't like this.

I don't like this. It is very much giving the vibes of 'not like other girls' and I hate that.
But I think now it is gonna start showing the sadness and I'm gonna get either really depressed or really disgusted.
Depends on the style of writing.
The age gap is also still very much bothering me.
She is a few years older than his son which creeps me out.
I am not against all age gaps but I am against this one.
