I need to read more Newman, I quite enjoyed Orgy of the Blood Parasites. I’d like to look at Life’s Lottery next.

His Dracula stuff leaves me cold but usually enjoy his short stores. Jago his Stephen King style doorstop is pretty good, spectacularly nasty in places. I read this a while ago and remember liking it - second time around it does seem flabby in places, but keeping me interested. My brother used to live near the infamous Cranley Gardens so one of the main locations seems familiar.
