Just finished book #1-Dark Descendant. The word that comes to mind is “meh”. I didn’t like how the book started with zero backstory on how Nikki came to be searching for Emmitt and the build up to what Nikki actually is was not as compelling as I feel it could have been. There was limited character development and I found myself not really liking any of the characters. ⭐️⭐️
