I am now really enjoying this book. I almost gave up as it just didn't seem to be getting anywhere, until I took a peep half way through. Then I was hooked and had to back track. Have never read the original 'Rebecca' so have no pre-conceived ideas about this book.

Is there and original Rebecca? Doesn't seem like it on the author's list? Aren't books lovely!

If you read the reviews for Rebecca's Tale you will see a lot of readers did not approve of Sally Beauman's version. I have added the original to my 'to read' list.
Yes - I love books, can't understand how some people, my family included, don't appreciate that love.
