Convinced some of the main characters are dead or have been weeping themselves immortal through some Ancient Greek ritual/ killing people. I think it may be related to the Eleusinian Mysteries which is an ancient festival/ cult that modern scholars don’t know the exact details of but is related to death and rebirth. There is a lot of evidence that some of these characters are from a different era
