i spoiled the ending and this is such a meh book. to have the twist be that harrison (the son of the therapist) is the one assaulting people just feels out of left field. like we find out he smokes and then later we'll find out he writes rape fantasy and just like why? cause his mom doesn't feel the need to worry about him and cause he still says i love you? like it feels so out of nowhere just to be shocking

i truly don’t care about owen but diana? seems sweet

i can understand the loneliness that owen is feeling and it sucks, but if your only idea of how to cure that loneliness is romantic relationships you aren't gonna be happy. friendships are just important if not more at times and having a support group that wants to see you grow and be the best version of yourself is better than constantly trying to find someone to date

i don't often feel for parents who abandon their children when they get remarried and have other kids, but i get where owen's dad is coming from cause if this is the call I'm getting i wouldn't want to talk to him either. like imagine getting a call about how you fucked up but it's actually everyone else's fault

i'm very happy that owen's life is falling apart. and it makes complete sense that he's behavior was awful not just at the Christmas party. and especially since this is his pov it makes sense we aren't aware of his inappropriate behavior in the classroom.
