This book has been a poetic journey into the past as Doerr seems to put down every word of every page as if it is to the beat of a melodic soundtrack that only he can hear. His interpretation of this melody sheds a light onto the shadows of a world at war, a boy, a girl, and the age old battle between walking in darkness and chasing the light. Putting the book down with a little over fifty pages left is killing me!
