Man nothing is happening
I mean I know a lot has happened but the author has put so much doubt into everyone and everything that I can’t trust any of the revelations or discoveries or developments.
I can’t trust that Jarrah is actually good, I can’t trust that the mail will actually get sent, and I can’t trust that any of this is real.
Makes for an incredibly frustrating read

Spoilers
This whole fox(kid) hunting thing seems so wildly melodramatic
Marketing this book as something like The Dry is inaccurate? It’s the same “small town” crime in country Australia, but that’s about it?? Pagan cults seems quite theatrical.

Lo really did choose the right career path because she is so fucking dramatic.
Reading this as “the showgirls secret” is interesting, but reading from Lo’s insufferable and judgemental perspective must be so grating to the audience.
Idk if the author did this intentionally, or if it’s just poorly written.
I hope that this entire book isn’t the showgirls secret
